Are you or your students/children having trouble with 

any aspect of their Maths-Whizz experience?

If Maths-Whizz isn't functioning well on your device, the first thing to check is that you have the required operating system and the latest internet browser. The minimum requirements are below:

Google Chrome and Safari are the preferred browsers, even on an iPad which no longer requires an App. If you are unsure what browser you are using then type the following into the URL of the device causing problems: whatismybrowser.com

 

 

Troubleshooting

  1. Make sure the browser and devices have been updated and are running the latest versions of their software. We do recommend using Chrome as we have found that it is the most compatible with Maths-Whizz.
  2. Restart your devices at least once a day as some devices require this step to install updates. 
  3. For iPads we recommend that they are running at least iOS 12 and Safari 12.
  4. Be careful with additional add-ons. If you are experiencing problems, then disabling add-ons will be your first step as any troubleshooting can only take place once you have removed any variables, we have found in the past that certain add-ons make small adjustments to the page which can lead to issues such as reloading and slowness. For example, ‘Cat speak’ was a popular add-on for students but because it edited the writing on the page it caused issues. If you require add-ons for specific students, then limiting access to their own specific devices is highly recommended.
  5. We do not recommend adding the Maths-Whizz website as a bookmark on the devices taskbar or desktop as this has caused issues in the past, we would recommend bookmarking Maths-Whizz within the browser only and if need be, you can also set it as the homepage for when students load the browser.
 

If these steps do not resolve your issues, then please provide as much information as you can so that we can find a solution for you as soon as possible.

 

 

  1. Copy the following link into the browser of the device(s) experiencing the issue: doctor.whizz.com
  2. Run the diagnostic along with internet speed and click on the camera on the bottom to save the report and attach it at the bottom of this form. 
  3. Fill in the form with as much information as you can including the browser information about the browser.
  4. Encourage students to report any lesson errors they come across within Maths-Whizz as well.
