Week 1 – Student Focus – Complete their assessment.
Week 1 – Teacher Focus – Work through each step of the Implementation Guide including printing login sheets and assessment reports. Try to have all students complete their assessments. For your Week 1 Focus, click here.
Week 2 – Student Focus – Gain 4 Learning Progressions and get their Blue Gem and move from a Rookie to an Apprentice.
Week 2 – Teacher Focus – Show students “Introduction to Maths-Whizz” video, and start monitoring your class in the Maths-Whizz Home Page. Send students a message and a sticker for their Learning Progressions. For the Week 2 Focus, click here
Week 3 – Student Focus – Get students to complete their Record of Learning
Week 3 – Teacher Focus – Give students their Records of Learning and show them the “Understanding Learning Progressions” video. Introducing the 8 Week Challenge. For the Week 3 Focus, click here
Week 4 – Student Focus – Gain 4 Learning Progressions and get their Blue Gem. Gain 4 Red Challenges to get their Red Gem and make it into the Hall of Fame.
Week 4 – Teacher Focus – Show students the “Understanding Topic Challenge to Consolidate their Learning” video (Red Gem). Monitor students and celebrate when they enter the Hall of Fame and send messages to students on Friday. For your Week 4 Focus, click here.
Week 5 – Student Focus – Gain 4 Blue and 4 Red Gems, get into the Hall of Fame and update their Record of Learning.
Week 5 – Teacher Focus – Show students the ‘Return on Investment” video, go to Class Reports, and show students selected data to engage them in their learning.

Week 6 – Teacher Focus –Watch the Teacher Video on “Learning Conversations with Students who need your help”, and go through the “HELP – Students who may need your help” section of the Class Home Page and have learning conversations with students who need your help.

Week 7 – Teacher Focus – Setting Topic Focus and Engaging Parents in the Maths-Whizz journey.
